Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

Many parents often wonder if they should look for a pediatric dentist instead of just taking their child to someone that practices general dentistry.  For those of you that are our regular patients, you already know the answer…it’s because you know how awesome our practice is!

First, most pediatric dentists chose pediatric dentistry because we have a special desire to help families and we enjoy working with children.  The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

A completely different skill set is often needed to treat young patients.   The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs.

We have designed our practice to be fun, nonthreatening and inviting.  Our goal is to make every child not simply comfortable when coming to an appointment, but to actually look forward to it.  We hope that you believe we accomplish that goal!
